PSALMS OF THE NIGHT

Sad songs say so much. In this series, we will look into some of the darkest moments of the life of David. It was in those times of struggle, wondering, questioning, that hope came through words set to music. In pain came a poem that pointed the way to hope — to YHWY.

In the final week of the series Psalms of the Night, Pastor Shannon preaches from Psalms 62 as she urges us, through the word, to put our trust in God alone. God calls us to trust Him and Him only for it is through Him that our soul finds rest.

Week 4 of our series, "Psalms of the Night", takes us to the 56th chapter of Psalms where Pastor Clint Smith challenges us with a message of trust. When you are going through hardship, what do you do? Where do you place your trust? Make a choice to trust God, call to Him for help, praise Him for His promises, fulfill your vows and walk in His presence.

Pastor Samson brings a powerful word from Psalm 54 about trusting God even when people hurt you. From this psalm, we see the importance of trusting God’s justice instead of our own ability to attain vengeance. We learn to confide in God, to stay confident in God, and to worship confidently in God no matter what we face.

Week two of “Psalms of the Night” takes us to Psalm 52 where David compares himself to a tree, thriving in the house of God. Pastor Rodney encourages us to be like trees with deep roots in Christ, bearing godly fruit and always trusting Him.

Kicking off our new series, "Psalms of the Night", Pastor Rodney demonstrates through the life and writings of David in Psalm 51 what happens when you are not underneath the authority of God. Sin has a way of creeping in and causing you to do things you would never imagine. However, through sincerity of heart and seeking after God for deeper intimacy with Him, there can be a turnaround in your life.
