SIGNPOSTS

The scriptures are filled with signs giving information and direction for life, especially at crossroads. These signposts are meant to guide us, help clear up complicated issues or to be that concrete trusted source when nothing else is.

Kicking off our Signposts series, Pastor Rodney teaches us about spiritual growth. First, we learn that spiritual growth cannot happen apart from God’s divine power. Next, we see that the goal of spiritual growth is to share in his divine nature. Finally, we discover that the catalyst of spiritual growth is His divine promises.

This week, we’re taking a look at Galatians 5. Pastor Rodney teaches us about following the Holy Spirit. We learn Holy Spirit’s role in saving and sanctifying us. We also learn that to follow Jesus is to follow Holy Spirit.

Pastor Rodney shares a great message with us from Psalm 124. He teaches us to take our troubles to the Lord, because we can always trust Him. Pastor also encourages us by showing us that today’s tears produce tomorrow’s joy.

Pastor Samson continues our Signposts series with an incredibly compelling message. He shows us how ruined we are as a result of sin, and how religion and hypocrisy can keep us from having the relationship with God that we were created to have. Ultimately, we see that God is the only one who can redeem our ruin and enable us to live authentic lives that reflect the Gospel.

This week Pastor Rodney is preaching all about prayer. Prayer is the gateway of information, inspiration and intimacy between you and God. As we look at the first chapter of Colossians, we learn about how to pray and what to pray for.

This week, Pastor Clint wraps up our Signposts series by preaching on Colossians 3. He challenges us to give our hearts to God so we can give our love to people. The Lord doesn’t want anything to have us but Himself and calls us to surrender the “that” in our lives.
