THE PARADOX OF THE CROSS

The very message that can save the world is the one it denies. The Church is called to proclaim it, but what happens when we don’t live up to it? We introduce a new paradox— where we live a life that denies its power of the cross. Paul untangles these problems in the ancient church of Corinth, helping us overcome and truly live out the paradox of the cross.

In the final week of The Paradox of The Cross, Pastor Samson preaches about the power of vulnerability and the strength found in God's grace. Just as the apostle Paul faced a "thorn in the flesh" and sought God's help, we too encounter challenges that leave us feeling weak and vulnerable. Sometimes, God's response may not be what we expect, but His grace is always sufficient and our weaknesses become a platform for His strength to shine through. Pastor Samson reminds us, when we feel weak, that's when we're strongest in God's eyes. Listen and be challenged.

In week 5 of "The Paradox of The Cross", Pastor Rodney preaches from 2 Corinthians 8 and 13, highlighting the importance of giving generously and joyfully. We are encouraged to give in proportion to our means, using the tithe as a guideline, and see that we are called to obedience in sacrificial giving when God asks for more. Jesus is the ultimate example of giving so we must give joyfully, willingly, and extravagantly to further the Gospel. Listen and be challenged.

In week 4 of The Paradox of the Cross, Pastor Rodney focuses on identifying the signs of genuine faith based on 2 Corinthians. With a call to self-examination, he emphasizes the importance of testing one's faith, underscoring joy as a distinguishing mark of a faithful life. The key signs include finding comfort in God, keeping promises, practicing reconciliation, living with Holy Spirit boldness, and maintaining unwavering perseverance. Listen and be challenged.

In week three of "The Paradox of the Cross", Pastor Rodney reminds us that The Church, created by Jesus, is a diverse community bound by love. Our mission: making disciples through love, unity, purity, and service. We follow Christ, not alone, but together, embracing the transformative power of love. Listen and be challenged.

In week two of our collection of talks, "The Paradox of the Cross", Pastor Rodney preaches about how God created sex as a divine gift, meant to be honored within marriage. In a world with various views on sex, Christians should approach it with commitment, complementarity, and a recognition of its spiritual significance. Singleness is valuable, and our attitude toward sex should align with God's design, fostering a deeper connection with Him. Listen and be challenged.

Opening week one of our new collection of talks entitled, "The Paradox of the Cross", is Pastor Samson with a powerful word from the first chapter of 1 Corinthians. In his message, he shows us that as the world's wisdom seeps into our lives, we must remember that the message of the cross holds the power to overcome it. He illustrates how to make the cross our starting point, when to recalibrate our lives, and in turn, experience the wisdom of God. Listen and be challenged.
