Acts is a continuation of the works of Jesus through his disciples, who are now empowered by His Spirit. We learn from these stories that Jesus truly is alive as evidenced by his powerful demonstration of healings, deliverances, salvations and miracles. We also see resistance to the Gospel from evil forces, but how Jesus followers still overcome.
Kicking off our To Be Continued series, Pastor Rodney teaches us some awesome lessons from Acts chapter 1. It is not enough to simply believe the truth about Jesus’ suffering, resurrection, and ascension. Our behavior must match what we say we believe. We must act on the truth we claim to know by witnessing that truth to the world around us.
